Fenn grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, before moving to Arizona to attend college. While going to school he also gained invaluable experience working alongside his uncle in the insurance industry. After earning his BS in Finance from Arizona State University and marrying his high school sweetheart, Ann; they moved to El Centro, California, where Fenn took the position of Cost Accountant at United States Gypsum Company.
As their family grew, Fenn and Ann decided to return to their roots in Erie, Pennsylvania. There, Fenn worked in cost accounting and finance for Lord Corporation and Spectrum Control before moving back into the insurance business as an agent with the John P Mantsch Insurance Agency, representing Erie Insurance. However, the call of entrepreneurship beckoned, leading the couple to embark on a new chapter in Concord, North Carolina.
In June of 1996, Fenn and Ann founded Allen Insurance Group, operating from the comfort of their home and proudly representing ERIE Insurance. Thus, began the story that has led to the current day Allen and Ballard Insurance Associates in Concord, NC and Isnehour-Allen Insurance in Salisbury, NC.
Fenn and Ann are proud parents of Fenn Philip, Josiah and Jacob and are enjoying the role of grandparenting their seven grandchildren who they enjoy spending time with each week.
Fenn enjoys an active lifestyle. He has run 10 marathons and fulfilled a lifelong dream of hiking through the Grand Canyon, when Ann and he hiked the 27 miles in one day from the south rim to the north rim.
Grounded by his faith, Fenn considers his relationship with the Lord as the cornerstone and guiding purpose of his life.
