Leaders continually ASSESS-
Assess where you are in relation to where you want to be. Then and only then can you begin to see what you need to learn and do differently to close the gap.
Leaders continually LEARN-
Go beyond your current knowledge base to expand your mind and understanding so that you can improve what you’ve been doing and therefore improve where you are going.
Read good quality books about things you are interested in.
Read about things that are outside your current knowledge base.
Watch movies and documentaries about innovators, inventors, historical figures and problem solvers.
Watch some of the millions of free YouTube videos talks on almost any subject you can think of.
Ask questions-
What can I learn from this person or event?
How can I apply it to my situation?
Leaders continually EVALUATE-
Account for where you are and ask how you can most efficiently and effectively apply what you are learning to go where you want to be.
Leaders continually take ACT-
To make change happen you must take action on what you know. Application of knowledge is power.
ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER-
An Accountability Partner is the foundational piece that supports, strengthens and empowers you to do everything you need to do to succeed. (Think about the many already built in Accountability Partners in your life that help you each day- your fuel gauge, your bank balance, clocks, battery left icon, calendar reminders, etc.)
RESULTS-
The key to achieving meaningful results is in first defining what Results are meaningful to you. Our problem is that we are often pursuing the results that others tell us are meaningful, without ever taking the time to plum our own hearts and minds to determine what matters most to us. Think about some of the things you are currently pursuing with your time, money, energy and talent; and ask yourself, why? Why is this worth pursuing? Is the return worth the investment?
As we move through this course the material will encourage you to think about and make a conscious and deliberate choice about what you are pursuing and why. You will determine your destination and we will supply principles for reaching the results that are meaningful to you.
