Born to Lead Results Formula– Part 4- ACT
Once you-
ASSESS where you are and
Commit to continuously LEARN how to grow in your efficiency, effectiveness and leadership and
EVALUATE how to apply what you learn to closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be;
then you can ACT to turn your new knowledge and insight into power to transform.
If you keep doing what you’ve been doing you will keep getting what you’ve been getting.
All the knowledge in the world is useless and powerless if not used. Applied knowledge is power.
Action that flows from Assessing, Learning and Evaluating is Action that is congruent, meaningful and effective.
It gives you the ability to know where you need to Act and how you can Act to gain the most from your efforts.
In large part that is what leadership is. It is the ability to take action in the most productive ways to obtain the most meaningful outcomes and results.
Action for the sake of action is of no value if it isn’t moving you toward a clearly thought out and designated goal and purpose. In fact, for the perfectionist it is just as important to know where NOT to take action, so that you do not waste your time, talents and resources arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic as it is sinking.
In the weeks to follow we will learn the importance of developing a life purpose that is congruent with your tested and deepest held beliefs, values and goals. We will develop a leadership plan that starts with the end in mind so that you can make the most of your present time and talents.
Based on your personal values, rate your current level of success based on where you are compared to where you want to be in regards to your Mental/Emotional Life. (10 is the best) Go to your Notebook and record the Date and the appropriate question number and your answer to each question-

One of the easiest ways to immediately improve your own Mental/Emotional well-being is to stop complaining about what you don’t have, what others are doing to you or not doing for you and instead to start focusing on sharing your love and life in service of others.
Tomorrow we will look at the foundational support piece that will empower you to continually Assess, Learn, Evaluate and Act to continuously improve your leadership, life and impact.
